Chelsea continue their International Champions Cup campaign as they take on Real Madrid at Michigan Stadium on Saturday night in the one of the most exciting pre-season matches of the summer.
Antonio Conte’s side managed to see off Premier League rivals Liverpool in their opening International Champions Cup fixture despite having Cesc Fabregas sent-off for a late challenge on new signing Ragnar Klavan.
After opening his tenure at Stamford Bridge with a 2-0 defeat at Rapid Vienna, Conte has seen his side record back-to-back wins over RZ Pellets and Liverpool as well as an 8-0 thrashing of Atus Ferlach in a behind-closed-doors friendly.

 

 

However, Real pose a significant step up for the Blues as the Champions League winners look to kick-start their preparations for the new campaign following the 3-1 defeat by Paris Saint-Germain during the week. While head coach Zinedine Zidane started the match with a strong line-up – including the recently repurchased Alvaro Morata – he brought on a number of academy players in the second half, while also giving his son, Enzo, his first run-out in a Real shirt.
Meanwhile, Conte has the option of fielding new signing N’Golo Kante for the first time after he joined up with the squad on Thursday, although the France midfielder remains short on match fitness after a post-Euro 2016 holiday.
